VeggieGardener.nz is beautiful, simple and practical. It is all about New Zealand planting times for your chosen veggies. The Web app is totally free with no advertising, because that is the way we like it.

Every time you visit we give you a list of plants you can plant right now taken from your unique plant selection.

To create your unique vegetable planting selection simply click on the plant names. If they are green they are in your calendar. Superb

Your individual account holds your unique plant selection, garden diary notes, and climate information. This all comes together to make a personalised gardening calendar especially for you.

Who is behind Veggie Gardener?

Rob the Gardener / Sculptor

Rob is a talented sculptor and landscape artist (Instagram @rob.upritchard). He is super excited about gardens, especially those that grow delicious food, as well as all things that are beautiful, simple and wonderful.

Why make the Web app?

“I made veggiegardener.nz when I was doing up my houses with young children underfoot. In short, I didn’t have a lot of time to trawl through the vast amount of information out there when I just wanted to know if it was a good time to plant different seeds and seedlings. By choosing to view only the plants you want to work with this Web app is just what I wanted, but couldn’t find anything out there like it, so I built VeggieGardener.nz hoping it would help people like me who wanted to simplify their gardening experience.”
